Easter Day is a special and meaningful day for all Christians. The meaning of many different customs observed during Easter Sunday has been buried with time. Their origins lie in pre-Christian religions and Christianity. All in some way or another are a "salute to spring," marking re-birth. Christians commemorate Good Friday as the day that Jesus Christ died and Easter Sunday as the day that he was resurrected. According to the Western church tradition, the spring equinox festival (March 21) or a full day to see the first month after the spring equinox, the first encounter is Easter Sunday. Eastern Church provides that if one happens to appear in this first Sunday, Easter again postponed a week. Therefore, it is generally in a section from March 22 to April 25.

Here we came to the 2008 Easter Day on 23 March, sun shined around the Nine Dragons Hill Polo Club house. To welcome the spring’s coming and celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, our club prepared the celebration party for the special moment. Here in our clubhouse, no matter what skin colors you have, nationalities you are and languages you speak, we communicated with each other by love from the heart. Also the exciting polo game awoke people’s sports cells which were somehow hidden inside them in the past winter.

Children were running on the afternoon grass field and playing, searching for the Easter eggs. They could not stop for a while. The adults, sitting on the clubhouse balcony, watched their children enjoying the sunny afternoon and cheered for the exciting polo games. At this moment, happiness was on everybody’s face.

The Easter Day had passed, but we could feel that every guest really enjoyed and spent a splendid holiday in our club. Sharing the happiness with family, communicating with friends and entertainment activities arranged by our club had made up of the wonderful day. From then on, spring indeed comes to us and makes us look forward to celebrating next Easter Day at Nine Dragons Hill Polo Club.
